Assessment and Career Guidance Disclaimer
Last updated: 1 January 2026
Â
1. Purpose of services
AYE provides psychometric assessment services, career exploration, stream and subject selection guidance, educational pathway guidance and career planning support.
These services are intended to help students, parents and other individuals understand relevant interests, strengths, preferences and possible educational or career directions. They are designed to support informed decision-making and do not replace the individual's own judgement or other relevant professional advice.
2. Nature of psychometric assessments
Psychometric assessments use structured questions, instruments or methods to explore aspects of an individual's interests, preferences, abilities, personality, learning style or career inclination, depending on the assessment selected.
Where an assessment is administered by a third-party provider, the instrument, methodology and report may belong to or be controlled by that provider. AYE does not represent third-party assessment instruments as its own proprietary tools unless expressly stated otherwise.
Assessment findings should be understood in the context of the particular instrument, the candidate's responses and the information available at the time.
3. Interpretation of results
Assessment results are indicators to be considered alongside other relevant information. They do not define an individual's identity, determine their future or establish that the individual is suited only to a particular career.
Results may be affected by the assessment's design, the candidate's understanding of the questions, the honesty and thoughtfulness of responses and the circumstances in which the assessment is completed.
Interests, abilities, preferences and opportunities may change over time. Assessment findings should therefore be considered alongside academic performance, personal interests, practical circumstances, family considerations, financial factors and other relevant information.
4. Career and educational guidance
AYE's recommendations are intended to help individuals explore educational and career options and consider possible next steps.
The suitability of any stream, subject combination, course, institution or career depends on the individual and on circumstances that may change, including academic results, eligibility requirements, admission policies, financial resources, employment opportunities and personal preferences.
Customers should independently verify current eligibility criteria, deadlines, fees, course structures and other requirements with the relevant school, college, university, examination authority or employer before making a final decision.
5. No guarantee of outcomes
AYE does not guarantee:
-
Admission to any school, college, university or academic programme.
-
Selection for a particular stream, subject combination, examination or scholarship.
-
Employment, promotion, salary or professional success.
-
A particular assessment result or career direction.
-
That a recommended educational or career path will remain suitable in all future circumstances.
Any career options, examples, recommendations or action roadmaps are planning aids and do not constitute a promise of a particular outcome.
6. Responsibility for decisions
The final decision regarding an individual's education, stream, subjects, course, institution and career remains with the individual and, where appropriate, their parent or legal guardian.
Customers are encouraged to consider recommendations alongside other relevant information and to consult appropriate educators, institutions or qualified professionals where necessary.
AYE is not responsible for an outcome dependent on decisions made by external institutions, employers, examination authorities or other organisations, or for circumstances outside its reasonable control. This does not exclude any responsibility or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded.
7. Not a clinical diagnosis or treatment service
Unless a service is expressly described otherwise and delivered by an appropriately qualified professional, AYE's career guidance and psychometric services are not medical diagnosis, psychiatric evaluation, clinical psychological diagnosis or treatment.
Assessment findings must not be used as a substitute for clinical evaluation, mental-health support or medical advice. Where a concern requires clinical assessment or treatment, the individual should consult an appropriately qualified professional.
8. Third-party assessment providers
Some assessments may be delivered through third-party platforms, including EduMilestones. The provider may have its own instructions, terms, methodology and technical requirements.
AYE does not control every aspect of a third-party platform or guarantee uninterrupted operation of that platform. Customers experiencing access or delivery issues should contact AYE so that the appropriate next step can be assessed.
9. Completion and accuracy
The intended candidate should complete the assessment personally and provide honest, thoughtful responses. Responses submitted by another person, random answers or deliberate misrepresentation may reduce the usefulness of the results.
Customers should follow the assessment provider's instructions, use a suitable device and internet connection, and complete the assessment in an environment that allows adequate attention.
10. Relationship with other services
Where AYE provides document editing or application-document refinement, that service is distinct from psychometric assessment and career guidance. Assessment findings or career recommendations do not guarantee the success of an application, and document editing does not guarantee admission, visa approval, employment or another outcome.
